In March 2025, the Warsaw City Council decided to increase funding for Sinfonia Varsovia’s investment by an additional 210 million PLN. This is an important step for the implementation of the project at 272 Grochowska Street, which includes the modernization of historic buildings and the construction of a new concert hall. The additional funds strengthen the budget of the investment and allow to accelerate preparations for further activities, including procedures related to the implementation of the project’s key part – the construction of the main concert hall.
According to media reports, the funds were highlighted as an important element to enable further steps on the investor’s side, in parallel with the ongoing modernization work in three historic buildings at 272 Grochowska Street.
The investment is of strategic importance for the development of Warsaw’s cultural infrastructure – it will eventually include a modern concert hall with 1,877 seats, designed in cooperation with international acoustics specialists.
The increase in funding not only strengthens the budget, but also sends a clear signal that the city consistently supports the implementation of the project and its subsequent stages.
On 13 May 2025, Sinfonia Varsovia launched a tender for the selection of a general contractor to deliver the second stage of construction of its new headquarters at 272 Grochowska Street in Warsaw.

Intensive work is underway on the first phase of the investment at 272 Grochowska Street. Following the signing of an agreement with the contractor in April 2023, the modernization of three historic buildings of the former Institute of Veterinary Medicine began.
On 5 April, a contract for the execution of the first stage of the Sinfonia Varsovia Center project was signed at Sinfonia Varsovia’s headquarters during a press conference attended by the Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski. The spectacular construction in Warsaw’s Praga district will be done by the DORACO Construction Corporation.
At the beginning of April 2021, we accepted the last part of the design documentation, including detailed design and technical specifications for the conversion of five historic buildings of the former Institute of Veterinary Medicine, the designs of a new building with a concert hall, a frame, and a garden on the 2.6-hectare area used by Sinfonia Varsovia.
14 June 2018 Council of Capital City of Warsaw adopts resolution introducing changes in the city budget to enable acceptance of construction design and submission of application to obtain a construction permit for the construction of Sinfonia Varsovia Centrum.
We are very happy to hear of the Council of the Capital City of Warsaw adopting a resolution changing the city’s budget to allow us to approve the construction design and submit an application to obtain a construction permit to build the Sinfonia Varsovia Centrum, and subsequently to let a tender intended to select the general contractor of the construction works.
The new local spatial development plan allowing for the commencement of further work on the construction of Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra’s new home became effective on 23 May 2017.
